About the Photographer
Based in West Jefferson, Ashe County, North Carolina, Drew Turner has spent decades with a camera — documenting the natural world across more than 30 countries and 6 continents. His largest collection spans the wildlife of Tanzania and East Africa, from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater.
Closer to home, his work covers the ridges, valleys, and waterways of the Southern Appalachians — shot with Sony and Canon cameras, iPhone, and drone. Much of this work is donated in support of causes he and his wife are passionate about, including families navigating the journey of chronic and terminal childhood illness.
